Most bronzers including those found in the VersaSpa spray consist of the active tanning ingredient, Dihydroxyacetone (DHA). DHA, natural sugarbeet product is a water-soluble bronzer designed to produce an instant tan. DHA produces a long-term tan and when applied to the skin, it reacts with proteins in the skin's superficial layer to form a golden brown color. Your skin will begin to darken 2-3 hours after application and will reach its peak color within 24 hours.
